Sage Cotugno

Hello! I’m a supervising director, writer, and storyboard artist living in Los Angeles. My past projects include Hazbin Hotel (Amazon), The Sisters Grimm (Apple+), Long Story Short (Netflix/ShadowMachine), The Owl House, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and Gravity Falls (Disney TV, credited as Sabrina Cotugno). I have also developed original and IP-based projects with Disney TV Animation, Netflix and Cartoon Network. For a full list of my to-date aired credits, please see my IMDB page.

I love creating dynamic sequences that combine anime-inspired action with grounded, character-focused humor and building supportive environments to help my team do their best work. I am currently available for development work!

The third volume of my graphic novel series/webcomic The Glass Scientists was published by Penguin Random House in Winter 2025. Available wherever books are sold.

I am a queer, nonbinary, and mixed-race Victorian horror nerd born and raised in Los Angeles. Pronouns: they/them
